Non-Standard Glulam Members

This product covers any custom-shaped glulam component that does not fit standard straight or curved beams. We produce tapered beams, variable cross-sections, angled columns, and complex nodes. Each piece is made to your exact drawings. We use the same high-quality materials – Douglas fir, European spruce, and structural adhesives. The manufacturing process adjusts to each unique shape. This flexibility allows architects to realise their designs without compromise. We have experience with bespoke components for commercial and public buildings.

We start with defect scanning and stress grading of all laminations. Then we cut and shape each layer according to your specifications. Finger-jointing creates continuous lengths from shorter stock. After gluing and pressing, we use our five-axis CNC machining centre to mill complex surfaces, drill holes, and cut slots at any angle. This machine handles tapered and twisted shapes with ease. Our combination press helps assemble multi-piece members into larger units. Every component is checked against your drawings and numbered for easy identification. Packaging is done with care to prevent damage during shipping.

Many buyers need special geometries for iconic structures. Standard beams often do not fit. Our custom service fills that gap. We accept any shape that can be engineered in wood. Our team works with you to ensure manufacturability and structural safety. We have produced tapered beams for a hotel project and angled columns for a museum. We support OEM and ODM orders. Sample development takes 3 to 15 days, depending on complexity. Free samples are available, but you pay freight. We give a one-year warranty and can dispatch technicians for on-site guidance. Payment terms are flexible, typically 50% deposit and 50% after inspection.
