Curved Glulam Beam

Curved Glulam Beam

Designed for Unique Architectural Forms
This engineered wood product is shaped into curves during the manufacturing process. We bond high-grade timber laminations with structural adhesives under pressure in a curved form. The result is a beam that follows any radius you specify. It combines the strength of straight glulam with the freedom of curved design. Architects use it for roofs, bridges, and feature structures. The natural wood grain remains visible, adding warmth to modern buildings. We produce these beams using imported Douglas fir and European spruce.

Manufacturing with Precision and Care

Production begins with defect scanning to remove weak sections. Stress grading ensures each lamination meets strength requirements. Then we apply adhesive to each layer and assemble them in a curved press. Our horizontal gluing press is ideal for this task. It applies even pressure along the entire curve. After curing, we use a four-sided planer with a rotatable work table to precision-plane all surfaces. This step ensures exact dimensions and a smooth finish. A CNC machining centre drills holes and cuts slots for connectors or service lines. Every beam is inspected and numbered before packing.

Solve Your Design and Structural Challenges

Buyers often struggle to find curved beams that are both strong and visually pleasing. Our product delivers both. The engineered lamination process gives it load-carrying capacity equal to straight beams. The curve does not weaken the structure. It also reduces the need for additional support columns, opening up interior spaces. We have supplied these beams for pavilions, atriums, and bridge projects. Custom radii are available based on your drawings. Sample development takes 3 to 15 days. We offer free samples, but shipping is at your cost. Volume discounts are negotiable. Standard payment is 50% deposit, 50% after inspection. We also provide a one-year warranty and online technical support.
