Bamboo Flooring Outdoor Decking

This decking is made from compressed bamboo strips. The bamboo is densified and bonded with resin. The result is a very hard, dense board. It resists scratching and wear. It also resists moisture and fungal attack. Our outdoor bamboo decking is suitable for patios, pool surrounds, and rooftop terraces. It is a sustainable alternative to tropical hardwoods. The natural grain gives a warm and elegant look. It is available in natural or carbonised colours.

We select mature bamboo for maximum density. The strips are boiled and dried to remove sugars. This reduces the risk of insect attack. Then we apply a weather-resistant resin and compress the bamboo under high pressure. The boards are shaped with tongue-and-groove edges. We apply a UV-resistant coating to protect against fading. Each board is inspected for surface defects and dimensional accuracy. We bundle them with spacers to prevent damage during shipping.

Contractors and architects are under pressure to use sustainable materials. Bamboo is a fast-renewable resource. It grows to maturity in five years. Our decking has been used in the Hexi Zero-Carbon Pavilion and the Nepal and Ethiopia demonstration projects. It performs well in tropical and subtropical climates.
